I am a Mexican biologist, current Research Assistant, and Master’s student in Social-ecological Resilience at the Stockholm Resilience Centre in Sweden. My interests lie in social-ecological systems and analyzing their dynamics in urban environments. My current field of study applies a Critical Futures approach to understanding human-nature relationships in urbanized contexts and their potential repercussions at both individual and collective levels. I am particularly interested in applying this approach in participatory spaces, both in the global North and South, and exploring its relevance for democratic decision-making processes. I have had the opportunity to assist in teaching and participate in various ecological restoration and social development projects at national and international levels, which have allowed me to influence the knowledge, management, and sustainable use of natural resources. I am passionate about outdoor activities such as camping and cycling.
