I am a freelance musician, composer / arranger, recording artist, interdisciplinary collaboration artist / project instigator, music educator, arts administrator, community music facilitator and music copyist. My career has been widely varied in content and direction with lots of overlap / crossover between all the different areas of work, which has kept things interesting - there has always been something going on, getting up & running, being planned and being dreamed-up, from new creative ensembles to new works for existing groups, interdisciplinary projects and new artistic practices. In recent years I have also (casually) stepped beyond artistic creation into the world of documentation - recording, mixing & mastering audio, and most recently video editing & production.

Being recently retired from music teaching, I have time on my hands to look at new things to apply my creative energy to. I find the way TNOC sees art as a vital component of sustainable development interesting and exciting.I am curious where this might lead - possibilities for collaborative performance art is probably the thing I am most interested in. Having the festival (surprisingly to me) decide my little film is worth seeing has spurred me to attend the event in person to learn more.
