Welcome to the Nature of Cities Festival 2024! A gathering to get inspired, to learn, to present, collaborate, or to meet hundreds of new best friends and urban nature co-conspirators. The Berlin segment is an all-inclusive multi-day experience featuring field-trips, in person talks, workshops, art interventions, a film festival, Farm-to-Table dinners, various opportunities for socializing, and much more. All of it takes place at the Atelier Gardens venue, and various other locations around Berlin.

Carlotta James is an eco-landscaper, community builder, and long-distance runner. She graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours B.A. in International Relations and Political Science, and then began a career in Internet security at Psiphon where she developed circumvention tools for audiences in China and Cuba. Carlotta's curiosity in the global community has led her to work and travel in China, South Africa, England, Australia, and Mexico for over six years. She currently lives in Peterborough with her family, where her passion for environmental sustainability is evident by her community work with Peterborough Pollinators. Carlotta is co-founder of Three Sisters Natural Landscapes, an eco-landscaping social enterprise dedicated to creating pollinator-friendly gardens in Peterborough and the Kawarthas. She is also co-founder of the Monarch Ultra, an international relay run, documentary and conservation project aimed at connecting communities across North America with common goals of Earth stewardship & biodiversity conservation. When Carlotta is not building native gardens, she is running along forest trails with her family and friends.
