I weave together work at the science-policy-art interface doing research (mostly urban) on social ecological systems, advising on and contributing to nature-related policy and programs from global to local levels, and using experimental music to highlight the diverse perspectives and emotions that underpin our experiences of urban nature. I aim to support improved biodiversity outcomes, first nation cultural practices and self-determination, and empower diverse local communities to shape our urban natures. After an extended sojourn as an academic, I recently founded Future in Nature and the Melbourne Nature Network to support many great people to develop their policies and programs, nature-related careers and collaborative approaches to improving outcomes for biodiversity and people.
