Philipp leads the Biodiversity and Nature-based Solutions Team at ICLEI’s European Secretariat. Through an extensive portfolio of cutting-edge research and innovation and other projects such as NetworkNature, GoNaturePositive or the Berlin Urban Nature Pact, the Team supports  local  governments  in  embedding  Nature-based Solutions (NbS) into policies, planning and practice. By working with cities to implement NBS and promote biodiversity, ICLEI Europe also helps them to reduce the impacts of climate change, thus creating a cohesive urban society and nature-positive economy. Philipp holds a M.Sc. degree in forest ecology and management and a background in nature-based carbon removals.
