I believe that the way to address the challenges our planet is facing this century calls for systems thinking and a more holistic approach to reconnect humans with nature. In my research work, I apply interdisciplinary thinking to study how forests and other greenspaces in and around cities support human well-being and build social-ecological resilience. Through action-research, I am interested in developing practical strategies to address the increasing disconnect between people and nature caused by rapid urbanization of land and mindsets. The research coming from my team aims to inform nature-positive initiatives that foster clear synergies between climate resilience, rewilding, and human well-being in healthier landscapes. If you are interested in co-creating heart-centred approaches to urban greening, ways to weave science and arts into urban transformation, or if you are exploring the healing power of urban forests, please come talk to me, I am keen to meet you.
